The use of special polymers (e.g. PTFE, PFA, FEP, etc.) provide surfaces
that are both hydrophobic and oleophobic and prevent various materials such as
adhesives, rubber, synthetic materials or food ingredients from sticking. These
non-stick properties can be further enhanced by increasing the substrate /
coating roughness profiles and reducing surface contact area.
As a result of our special infusion process, our polymer and fluoropolymer
coatings have a very good mechanical bond to the substrate. Polymer and
fluoropolymer coatings are applied to aluminum, steel, stainless steel, tool
steel, copper, ceramics, synthetic materials, etc. They are temperature
resistant up to approx. 280°C and many are FDA-compliant for direct food
contact.
MagnaCoat®
- Polymer coating systems for high chemical resistance
MagnaCoat
® surfaces are heavy-duty fluoropolymer coatings that are virtually pinhole-free. They offer high corrosion resistance, good nonstick properties and high electrical impact resistance even at high temperatures. The coating provides excellent barrier protection to resist aggressive chemicals.
A MagnaCoat® polymer coating can be applied to all surfaces made of aluminum, steel, stainless steel or other alloys.

SafeCoat®
- Functional coatings based on fluoropolymers
SafeCoat
® improves the nonstick and sliding properties, and provides corrosion protection of machine components. A variety of different polymer and fluoropolymer formulations creates a specific surface profile to optimize each application.
SafeCoat® nonstick coatings prevent build-up, improve production processes and reduce cleaning efforts of machine components. Less friction helps to speed up production rates and reduces the repeated use of release sprays. SafeCoat® corrosion protection coatings increase the serviceable life of components and reduce unnecessary downtime.

TempCoat®
- Wear resistant slide coatings with nonstick properties
TempCoat
® is a fluoropolymer coating characterized by outstanding nonstick and sliding properties.
Additional reinforcement layers increase the wear resistance in combination with sliding properties. TempCoat® surface treatments can be applied on aluminum, steel, stainless steel, copper, ceramics and even plastics.

Dytech℠ Coating Services
Fluoropolymer coatings can be applied to a wide range of mechanical parts and components. Standard application methods result in a coating surface that relies primarily on the chemical bond between the substrate surface and polymer system. Even though the surface may have been pre-treated using a mechanical blasting process to remove contaminates and increase the bond surface area, the actual adhesion is still dependent on the "prepared surface" before the application of the polymer. Through the Dytech℠ Coating Services, Impreglon provides a highly effective method of fluoropolymer impregnation. This is achieved by a thorough evacuation of residual contaminants and enhancements of the surface "micro-crack" structure. Our system relies on thermal sublimation of the applied polymers and they enter the substrate as a gas. The hot gasses move into the thermally expanded pore structure of the substrate. As the work piece cools, the polymers retained in the pores re-form as a solid. This point combined with the added value of polymer "over-build" (material that is retained directly on the surface of the part) provides additional lubricity and a significant reduction in the coefficient of friction on the work surface. This continues even as the part wears and the surface coating is removed since wear exposes new lubricant.
