Many corrosion applications require special coatings that offer galvanic protection in the form of “barrier layers.” These coatings are typically non-porous protective coatings and prevent the formation of red rust. They can also provide very good resistance to aggressive acids and caustic solutions.
antifricor®
- Multifunction solid lubricant
With antifricor
®, Impreglon offers an approved combination system to
optimize friction, wear and lubrication of moving components. Reduced friction
with antifricor® leads to a longer serviceable life (Refer to the illustration
below).
antifricor® is suitable for all applications in which friction
reduces functionality and durability of components. Wear resistance, dry
lubrication and corrosion protection are combined effectively in one coating
system.
antifricor® is used by almost all automotive manufacturers.
Typical parts are hinges, door locks, door stays, door handles, adjustment
systems, fittings and other fasteners.

Delta MKS®
- Powerful corrosion protection with zinc flakes
Delta MKS
® is a corrosion protection coating system applied with the
most modern application methods - dip spinning, dipping and fully automatic wet
spraying.
The surface treatment is free of chromate (Chromium-VI), and the zinc flakes
provide galvanic protection. Hydrogen-induced corrosion, occurring when zinc is
applied with electroplating, is not an issue. Sealing systems developed
specifically to complement the functionality enable good sliding and nonstick
properties.
Delta MKS® coating systems are mainly used in the automotive
industry and in applications where outstanding corrosion resistance has to be
combined with other functional and decorative requirements of international
automotive manufacturers.
Coating thickness: 5 µm to 30 µm (depending on coating specification)
MagnaCoat®
- Polymer coating systems for high chemical resistance
MagnaCoat
® surfaces are heavy-duty fluoropolymer coatings that are virtually pinhole-free. They offer high corrosion resistance, good nonstick properties and high electrical impact resistance even at high temperatures. The coating provides excellent barrier protection to resist aggressive chemicals.
A MagnaCoat® polymer coating can be applied to all surfaces made of aluminum, steel, stainless steel or other alloys.

ZTD Coat®
- High-tech corrosion with zinc thermal diffusion
ZTD Coat
® is a special corrosion protection coating which thermally
modifies the surface of a diverse variety of components using the patented zinc
thermal diffusion method. The protective provides a durable connection to the
substrate and ensures excellent long-term corrosion protection:
- Long-term corrosion protection up to 350 °C
- Layer thickness 5 to 120 µ
- Uniform layer thickness, even with complicated geometries
- No hydrogen embrittlement
- Protection from damage, even during molding processes
- Protection from seizing
- Oxidation resistance
ZTD Coat® is primarily used in the automotive industry and anywhere excellent corrosion protection is combined with functional and
decorative properties. Impreglon fulfils all specifications of the international
automobile manufacturers.
